The honest comparison
Good coaching works. Until the system stops converting it.
Traditional coaching often works through dialogue, reflection, goal-setting and cognitive reframing. When someone is regulated, that is genuinely effective, and Reset is not an argument against it.
The problem is what happens when the same person is not regulated: the conversation is excellent and nothing converts.
The difference in one line
Traditional coaching works on the situation. Reset works on the conditions you meet it in.
Traditional coaching tends to focus on external situations, goals and actions, while bypassing the emotional and nervous impact. Reset rearranges the internal conditions so a situation can be experienced with resilience and clarity.
We cannot change the past or other people. We can change how they are experienced — and once that shifts, the coaching conversation either becomes far more effective, or becomes unnecessary.

Two ways into the same problem
Where they meet
Reset makes coaching insights applicable.
This is the most useful way to hold the two together. By reducing neuro-emotional over-activation, Reset creates the conditions in which coaching insights and strategies can actually be applied — or become unnecessary because the thing they were compensating for is gone.
It is particularly relevant when insight, communication tools or skills training are already in place and clarity still collapses under pressure.
