The honest comparison
Reset is not therapy, and the distinction is not a marketing one.
This page exists because the question deserves a straight answer rather than a paragraph that blurs the line to keep options open.
Reset Coaching© is not psychotherapy. It involves no diagnosis and no psychoanalysis, and it is not designed to treat mental-health conditions.
Where they differ
Two different instruments
When therapy is the right call
Ola will say so rather than take the booking.
- If you are in psychological or psychiatric distress, that work belongs with a clinician.
- If you are seeking diagnosis or treatment for a mental-health condition, Reset is the wrong instrument.
- If you are too deep in burnout for coaching to help, she will tell you in the first conversation.
- If your health is impaired and clinical or physiological support is needed first, that comes first.
They are not rivals
Plenty of clients have done both.
The most common profile Ola sees is somebody who has done real therapeutic work, understands themselves accurately, and is still reacting the same way. That is not a failure of the therapy. Insight and regulation are different things, and doing one well does not deliver the other.
One client put it plainly: she had tried hypnosis and psychotherapy and many different approaches, and found Reset more pragmatic, more efficient, and faster — not better in principle, different in kind.
